A Falling Object Guide (Drop Object Protection) which prevents falling objects from damaging surrounding wells when Christmas Trees and tilting risers are being lifted and installed.
Roblon Composite Net does not block fire and gas detectors nor does it block the deluge system, so all safety systems continue to function as normal as work is being carried out.
It limits risk in the event of an explosion because it will catch flying material and at the same time release explosion pressure through its net openings.
Surrounding wells do not, therefore, have to be shut down during lifting and installation work which means there is no loss of production.
